It’s pronounced “Ai” as in eye, “Lee” as in leaf

She was born with her eyes wide open.
I thought babies were born with their eyes closed so I was very surprised.

As soon as she heard Russ talk to her she stopped crying.
I guess she reconized his voice from when she was inside the womb.

I can’t describe it well but for the most part I was full of happiness but part of me felt sad, worried, confused all mixed up together. That she wasn’t inside me anymore, that now she would have to face the world on her own.
